More than one in four Vermont kindergarten students are not ready to participate successfully in school. Support in the early grades is important to overall school success and positive self-development. Although Kids & Company Mentors are not tutoring students, the time spent providing extra academic and social activities with these youngsters will help develop a love of learning and encourage the students to enjoy school.
