I am excited to continue my support of the Barre Community in my new role as the Barre City Elementary Principal. My career started in 1994 at Barre Town Elementary and Middle School, where I taught a total of four years. I rejoined the Barre district in 2003 when I was hired to be a math teacher at Spaulding High School. Nineteen years later, I have served as a teacher, department chair, assistant principal, acting principal and principal before jumping at the opportunity to work with our youngest of students. Besides my years in the Barre Community, I have also worked at Albany Community School as a middle school teacher and at Craftsbury Academy as the 7-12 math teacher and assistant principal.
My Bachelors of Science degree was earned through Johnson State College and my Master’s degree in Administration was earned through Capella University. I have also completed the Snelling Leadership Program and the Waddington Leadership Program. I hold certifications in 7-12 mathematics and social studies, middle school endorsement, principal and superintendent licensures.
I live in Wolcott with my husband, daughter and our fur babies (4 dogs, a cat and a horse). Our family time is spent enjoying our quiet space, riding ATVs or golfing.
