We are now in the final stretch of your child’s time with us at Barre City Elementary and Middle School, and it’s fair to say that none of us ever dreamed that the last few months would look like this! Of the many things that I’ve been proud of during this spring of so many uncertainties, nothing has been more impressive than your children’s teachers’ desire to make our 8th Grade Step Up Celebration as special as possible. The Barre Unified Union School District will be offering free meals to anyone ages 18 and under starting March 18. These meals will be offered weekly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until further notice.
We will have one open meal site and multiple sites we are delivering to. Click the image above to learn more.
The State of Vermont passed a new law in 2019 that requires all schools and child care providers to test their drinking water for lead. Barre City Elementary and Middle School participated in pilot testing in Spring 2018. Based on those results, we received a waiver on new testing and remediated based on results from 2018.
Check out this year's first edition of our middle school newspaper, the Bulldog Bulletin, led by Ms. Neddo!
