  • Will athletics be offered this coming school year?

    • Yes, at the moment the Vermont Agency of Education and VPA have said the 2020 Fall Sports Season will be happening, with strong modifications to most sports.  All of this is subject to change based on guidance from the State of Vermont.
  • When do practices begin?

    • The first date of practice is tentatively set for Tuesday, September 8th. This is the planned first day of the 2020 school year.
  • When do games begin?

    • The Vermont Agency of Education has said school-based fall sports programs may initiate interscholastic games, meets and competitions when Vermont schools reach Step III as described in their Strong and Healthy Start guidance.  All Vermont schools will begin the academic year in Step II and the decision to move to Step III will be determined by the Vermont Department of Health.
  • Will athletes be required to wear facial coverings?

    • Facial coverings are required for all players, coaches, officials, staff and spectators in all sports with the exception of cross-country running and golf.  Cross-country and golf athletes still need to have a mask on them for when they cannot socially distance.  Face shields are not considered as a proper facial covering.  Neck gaiters are allowed for all sports, but football.  Neck gaiters need to be two-ply to be acceptable.
  • Will parents be allowed to attend games?

    • Yes, but the number of spectators shall be limited as much as possible and measures must be put in place to ensure physical distancing between households. Interactions between spectators and participants must be minimized before, during and after events.  At no time shall the total number of spectators exceed current limits on event size – currently 150 for outdoor events.
