Dear BUUSD Community,
We wanted to let you know about some upcoming changes regarding our COVID-19 case communication practices. Throughout this school year and in an effort to maximize transparency, we have communicated via email about every COVID-19 case, even if the individual with COVID-19 was not at school while infectious.
As of today, May 21, we will only be communicating via email when we have a positive case where the individual was at school while infectious and contact tracing is needed.
Although our communication practices are changing, our diligence with investigating and monitoring cases will continue.
The Vermont Department of Health has set up its own dashboard where they keep a count of COVID-19 cases per school. This dashboard is updated weekly and we have links to it available on our school websites. Click here to view the dashboard.
